Philanthropy

Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Southern California believes philanthropy is an essential part of brotherhood and campus involvement. Our chapter is committed to supporting causes through long-standing fraternity tradition, active participation, and meaningful engagement with the USC community.

Our primary philanthropic effort centers on Watermelon Bust, Lambda Chi Alpha’s national philanthropic tradition and one of the fraternity’s most recognizable events. Each year, brothers participate in Watermelon Bust to raise funds and awareness through friendly competition and campus-wide involvement. The event reflects Lambda Chi Alpha’s emphasis on unity, tradition, and giving back, while allowing each chapter to contribute in a way that aligns with its community.

In addition to Watermelon Bust, our brothers actively participate in philanthropic events hosted by sororities on campus. These events provide opportunities for thoughtful dialogue around values, leadership, service, and personal development. By engaging in these conversations, we strengthen relationships across Greek life and reinforce our belief that philanthropy extends beyond fundraising to include reflection, connection, and shared growth.

Through tradition, participation, and purpose-driven engagement, our chapter remains dedicated to making a positive impact within the Trojan community.
